Dr. Rajesh Kukreja, born in Indore, received his education in Pune and Nadiad. After completing his M.B.B.S. and M.S. from BJ Medical College, Pune, he further pursued a DNB in genito-urinary surgery at Muljibhai Patel Urological Hospital (MPUH) in Nadiad. His academic excellence earned him the prestigious H.S. Bhat Gold Medal, awarded by former President Dr. Abdul Kalam for securing first place in the country. After two years as a consultant in Nadiad, Dr. Kukreja completed an International Fellowship in Endourology, Laparoscopy, and SWL from the World Endourological Society. He made history in 2003 by winning the First Prize for Clinical Research in Endourology in Montreal, Canada, becoming the first Asian and second non-American to receive this honor.
Dr. Kukreja further specialized in Paediatric and Reconstructive Urology through training in Sick Kids, Toronto, and Arezzo, Italy. His contributions to the healthcare industry in Madhya Pradesh earned him recognition as a Wellness Wizard by The Times of India group. Known for his cutting-edge techniques and expertise, he frequently demonstrates live surgeries around the world, attracting surgeons globally. With more than 3500 successful endoscopic kidney stone removal surgeries by 2015, he has set remarkable milestones, including performing one of the youngest PCNL procedures on an 18-month-old child. His pioneering work in paediatric urology includes over 180 paediatric PCNL cases. Dr. Kukreja firmly believes that the quality of life is determined by one’s commitment to excellence, regardless of the field.
